Your site is fantastic! I love the colors and organization.
As soon as I opened your page I was sucked in to what your topic is!
The banner graphic is great and I love how the text changes color.
I just have a few suggestions:

1) Sometimes your yellow font is hard to read.
Maybe consider putting a grey shadow behind it to make it a bit easier to read.

2) The game board page would be a great place to add a sketch pad
where you could do your own drawings

3) The content could use some proofreading

Other than that it looks great!
And if you want I have a wonderful flash file that would provi! de the sketchpad game for you!

Hello, Jung Eun.

I am writing to give you my thoughts on your beautiful Art Therapy web site.

You have created a really stunning site. This is excellent work!
The colors are great and the visuals are marvellous.
Your site
design and site content are perfectly married.

I was a little confused at first by the two sections of the expression section.
People can probably figure this out but you may want to
add a little guidance
so they will know there are 2 parts to that
section.

The color analysis is very interesting. I am looking forward to reading about
the rest of the colors as your site progresses.

I was fascinated by the analysis section. It might be helpful for you
to have a native English speaker read and help with
your text.

I think what you are saying might be better expressed as follows:

"We can see the stars and the moon at night, but these symbols express loneliness.
The star is especially
significant and shows that the child wants people to know
he or she is lonesome."

I would be glad to help you with other text passages if you would like,
because this is SO interesting.

Your site is really a work of art. I hope it is as much fun for you to create as it is for us to look at!

Sincerely,

Mary Miller

Hello,

I was checking through the course profile and was interest in your Art Therapy topic.
Your website is beautiful. The organization is very easy to guide through and use.
The website gives off a sense of peace. The first two links worked very nicely and were self explanatory.

The third link was the analysis link and I was unsure of what it was used for.
There were plenty of art examples, but are there stories that go along with each of the drawings?
Maybe you could describe how those pictures represent an analysis.

I know your site is still under construction I will be interested to see how the other links progress.

Congratulations on a wonderful website,

Kristen Sabo

Expressions page, http://www.arches.uga.edu/~shim/edit6190/art_therapy_expression.htm

Add instructions telling the viewer what they will find by selecting the links.
Also on this page, I would change the word on your rollover from “age” to something like “developmental stages.” I think that would be more descriptive of that link.

Finally, the image that you have for the stages link (yellow, green, purple then blue) could be separated so that your viewer to go directly to a specific stage.
You could leave your stages page as it is, but add anchors so that the viewer can go directly from

http://www.arches.uga.edu/~shim/edit6190/art_therapy_expression.htm

to what they want to see on http://www.arches.uga.edu/~shim/edit6190/art_therapy_expression_age.htm

I hope that makes sense.

The color page

http://www.arches.uga.edu/~shim/edit6190/art_therapy_expression_color.htm

I would consider changing the title from “Is color telling?”
Also, while I really like being able to choose a new color each time without having to return to the initial color page, I don’t like having to scroll down so much to see analyses of the colors.

Example: http://www.arches.uga.edu/~shim/edit6190/art_therapy_expression_color_pink.htm

Perhaps you’d like to consider reducing the amount or size of images on these pages.
I think I might put all of the analyses on one page, then add an anchor to each color.
You would then add an anchor to take the viewer back up to the color “menu.”

The analysis page, http://www.arches.uga.edu/~shim/edit6190/art_therapy_analysis_56p.htm

I would make the font consistent.
I assume that the analyses of the other artworks will appear in the same window.
That would be great—to select one of the example to the left each time without having to leave this window.

I am very impressed by your work. It’s a great resource for both parents and teachers. I plan to recommend it to my colleagues and friend who have young children.

Hey Jung Eun,

Your project looks really great! I like the color scheme very much.
I know you're still working on it but I believe it will turn out be a wonderful, fantastic website.

I have only a comment:
On your introduction page, probably because of the font, the colors of font, and the colors of background, it is not as easy to read at the first glance as I expected.
Using a neat font or change its colors may help to increase the contrast between words and the background. This might make the subtitle notable and readable.

Ok, that's all I see for now. I look forward to seeing your final product.

Hi, Jung Eun

You really do a good job. I like the cartoon picture you use.
It is so cute and attractive. The colors make the webpage more vivid.
A couple of things that I would suggest are the following.

In introduction and expression page, the content of “to help your understanding”,
my suggestion is that you can use formal fonts for the texts. Comic fonts will be distracting.

In the “choose child’s favorite colors” page, some text colors are too bright and unclear.
Probably you can use black color for the texts but add a background with the appropriate color for the section. Dark text with bright background would be fine.

I cannot link to some pages such as art_therapy_analysis_sample9.htm.
I think maybe you haven’t finish. Overall, the project is very good and I like the style.

Hope these suggestions help; I look forward to seeing the final product.

Jung,

Your website is really cool. The graphics are great and the whole thing is just really high quality.
Your images seem to load fast and don't show up with an empty box and then later have the image load up.  I have this problem and wonder how you got around it.
Perhaps it is because you used flash on the site?

I had fun playing with the game board options and spent a while drawing with game one and then game two with the cat and mouse.  I noticed that most of the images is broken into lots of different pieces (i.e. you can color the eye brows and even the whites of the eyes different colors, but the golf club can only be all one color even though it is broken down into a few distinct areas).

Very cool program. The introduction, expression and analysis sections are well organized and visually interesting.  The changing colors and textures of the vertal image along the left hand site do a really good job of unifying the page and keeping the reader interested in scrolling down.

I really don't have a lot of things to suggest as the site is already top notch.
The only thing left seems to be the reference section which was under construction when I visited.

Good job!

Julia

Hello, Jungeun

What a cute site! I really liked the background picture which really well presented your topic.
The content is interesting enough to attract attention of children and parents.
The overall design is cute and well matches with the content. Nothing much to comments on your project site except the font.
Why don't you use other font or make it a little smaller in the main text.
I was really impressed by your hard work!

Great job!

Hi Jung Eun,

Your have a really cool topic. Your website has very rich information.
You did a really good job. Here are some suggestions:
1. The font size that you used for the whole website might need to reconsider. The font is cute; however, it is fairly hard to read all of them. It would be nicer if you change the text in the content to a regular font style, such as Arial. 2. You have a clear structure. It would be nicer if you add some more links to make the flow even better. For example, once I clicked Game 1, I couldn't go back to the first page of Game board consisting with the options of Game 1 and Game 2 pages very easily. I have to click the "Game Board" button again. 3. For the Analysis page, it will be better to provide the number in the first page. I didn't notice there are different analyses until I was directed to Analysis 1. Hopt this helps, Yi-Chun
